Cebu – Dalaguete, Oslob, Samboan
✿ Manila to Cebu via Airasia, 8:40 AM
✿ Mactan airport to Taboan Market. Bought dried squid at P640/kilo, and dilis at P170.
✿ South Cebu bus terminal, Ceres aircon bus to Dalaguete at P83 each. Around 3 hours travel time.
✿ Stayed at Just Inn (now BB’s Hideaway) at P800/night. Aircon room with tv, own bath, and pool. On our way to the inn, a habal driver offered a ride for free, and so we agreed to take the Osmena Peak tour with him at P200 per person back and forth na.
✿ Osmena Peak. We left early at 4:30 AM. Reached the drop off point at around 5:30 AM. Free registration, trekked for about 20 minutes before reaching the peak. Ang lamig! The peak was covered with fog, and the wind….parang madadala kami haha. Waited till 7am to get a clear view of the place and took lotssss of pictures 😜😍
✿ We were back at the inn shortly and rested a bit. For P800, the inn was ok but we prefer a more comfortable room and closer to the road. As the inn was like 300m from the main road and uphill pa, we opted to transfer to one with easier road access.
✿ Had lunch at Maria’s, tried their batchoy for P83 per order. It was ok, I wish to taste the authentic batchoy one of these days.
✿ Checked-in at Ocean Bay Resort, it was just on the main road, beach front with restaurant, pool, tv, aircon, hot and cold shower, very accessible. Tricycle fare going to and from market was P10-15 only.
✿ After having lunch, we went to Tingko beach in Alcoy. Tricycle fare was just P15 each. It’s a public beach along the road, white sand and clear water. It was a bit crowded on the part where there were cottages, so we walked farther and found a nice spot with wider shore, finer sand, and very few people. Spent some time swimming este wading pala 😄
✿ Went back to Ocean Bay resort at around 4pm, Bob had a swim in the pool, while I just lurked around hihi
✿ For dinner, Bob went to the market looking for lechon but couldn’t find any so we ended up eating inihaw na liempo instead. Pansin ko lang medyo maalat yata timpla ng food nila on this part of Cebu.
✿ Woke up early for our trip to Oslob, waited for bus from across the resort lang, bus fare to Oslob was P62/person.
✿ Travel time was less than an hour, we reached the drop off to Tumalog falls at around 6am. Habal ride at P30/person one way. I was first wondering bakit hindi sa mismong falls naghahatid yung habal-habal, yun pala matarik ang daan going to the falls, medyo delikado, but there are habal riders if you still want magpahatid. We opted to trek instead. Di ko kinaya, naghabal ako paakyat haha, while Bob trekked uli.
✿ Tumalog falls. Di ko madescribe haha, better go there and see it for yourself. So high, yet so gentle ang bagsak ng tubig. We left after taking picturessss.
✿ Bus ride uli this time going to Aguinid falls in Samboan. Dahil medyo basa na kami, we took the ordinary bus going to Bato terminal, fare was P22 yata per person. Bus ride uli from Bato to Samboan, ordinary lang at P9 per person.
✿ Aguinid falls. From the highway, siguro less than 5 minutes walk lang. We registered and paid P20/person, we were then assigned with 2 guides. Meron 5 levels ang Aguinid falls, and there are parts na parang wall climbing. Very refreshing ang water, and this is one of the most accessible water falls na napuntahan namin. We would love to come back here.
✿ We had lunch at the mini carenderias along the registration area. afterwards, bus ride uli going back to Bato terminal, then another bus ride to Oslob.
✿ Cancuaay Private Beach Resort. Hindi mo mapapansin yung sign nila along the highway, so we told the bus conductor na ibaba kami sa Seafari resort which is katabi lang ng Cancuaay. Awesome view from the deck. We had to climb down 200+ steps which is not that hard, but if iisipin ko yung paakyat, aruy, sakit pa naman legs ko due to trekking Osmena peak the previous day. P100 entrance fee per person, free cottage na din. Medyo high tide when we arrived but slowly naglow tide naman after a few hours. spent some time swimming here, sarap ng tubig, and explored the place. This place reminded me of Ogtong cave in Bantayan, and the beaches of El Nido, feeling ko wala kami sa Cebu.
✿ Left Cancuaay at around 5pm, bus ride uli going back to Dalaguete. Along the way, nakaka-amaze how blessed Cebu is, with clean beach along the highway, parang kahit saan ka tumingin pwede ka bumaba and take a dip. We will surely never get tired of going here. We plan to bring the kids next time.
✿ We checked out and left Dalaguete at around 9am, to catch the ferry at Taloot Argao going to Bohol. We arrived early and enjoyed ice candy and chicharon from Carcar while waiting. Fare was P200 + P5 terminal fee per person. The ferry left on time and travel time took about 2.5 hours.
✿ We arrived at Bohol at around 2:30pm, rode a tricycle to Mellows Inn where we stayed for a night at P800/night. Room was basic – with aircon, tv, own bath, meron din silang pool. But our room was on the 3/F kaya effort uli umakyat.
✿ We planned to either stay or visit Alona beach, but we opted no to kasi kulang na sa time. We just went to the mall to buy pasalubong.
✿ We checked out at around 7:30am for our 9:20am flight back to Manila via Airasia uli. Terminal fee: P100 per person. Medyo delayed due to air traffic and wala daw parking sa Naia.
