Day 0 to 1
✿ Alabang to Naga via Peñafrancia bus @P1100 per person. We booked the tickets ahead online, and waited for the bus at the Alabang terminal. We left Alabang at about 7:30pm, seated in front with super reclining seats, there were 3 stops along the way, and we reached Naga by 5am. 9+ hours travel lang naman 😳
✿ From Naga, we took the Raymond aircon bus to Caramoan at P220 per person. Bus left at around 6:30am and we reached Caramoan before noon, 5+ hours travel time. The roads were rough and zigzagged, ang hirap matulog 😫😔 Another option is to travel by boat at Sabang port which should be faster, we may try this option next time.
✿ Our tric driver was waiting sa kanto ng Brgy Terogo going to Gota Village. Tric fare was P200 one way. We just asked him to be back the following day para mahatid nya kami to our next stop.
✿ Gota Village Resort. We reserved the small cabin at P3750 per night. Basic room lang, with big bed, a/c, hot and cold shower. We had lunch at their restaurant, kare-kare (240), bicol express (150)… nice presentation and not too spicy. The resort will be closed sa public from April to September kasi start na uli filming for Survivor series. For dinner, dahil ayaw na namin lumabas, we just ate mga tira naming food from our bus travel.
✿ Breakfast uli at the restaurant, laing and beef tapa… then stroll uli sa place and took lots of pictures.
✿ Our tric arrived and we moved to our next stop: Sights & Sand Tourist Inn. Very accessible and budget friendly, malapit lang sa bus terminal and several carinderias. They also have their own resto exclusive to their guests, tric service, and boats for island hopping. We had lunch at the carinderia, tried the laing also, then prepared na for our short island hopping trip. We got the island hopping tours from them at P2,500 for both short and long trips na
✿ Island hopping short trip: we left at around 1pm, and back before 6pm. We visited the following:
▪ Lahos: Twin beaches
▪ Matukad: With jagged limestone cliff and secret lagoon sa taas
▪ Minalahos: Across Hunongan cove
▪ Cagbalinad: Meron small opening with ala- Kayangan Lake view
✿ Back to our accommodation, bought pasalubong – key chain, coin purse, ref magnets, etc. Bob tried kinalas soup, less than 50 per order lang. Our room by the way, for P800 per night, has 2 double beds, aircon, hot & cold shower, tv.
✿ Breakfast, then prep for our next island hopping long tour. We availed the meal package from Sights & Sand at P350-450 per person, can’t really remember how much but should be this range. This includes breakfast, lunch for our island hopping (shrimps, chicken, laing), and dinner. Dami servings, we were able to share our lunch with the boatmen pa.
✿ Island hopping long trip: we left the inn before 8am and we were back before 5pm. Super proactive ang aming boatman/tour guide Johnal, we visited the following:
▪ Ginahuan: Uphill trek going to the lighthouse, with free mulberries along the way 😋 Awesome view sa taas
▪ Bugtong: We had the island for ourselves, maybe because sobrang babaw ng tubig going here, and other boats would not risk dahil baka sumabit sila sa mga bato and corals. Sand bar with white, fine sand. Lots of jellyfish and sea cucumbers na mukhang snakes
▪ Manlawi, Cotivas: With sandbar, we did not dock here as we opted to stay longer in Bugtong
▪ Sabitang Laya: Twin beaches, this is where the Survivor castaways stay
▪ Bag-ing: The opposite beach of Sabitang Laya
✿ Back to the resort, dinner.
✿ Woke up really early and left to catch the 3:30am aircon MRR bus to Naga, fare at P220 per person. Awake for almost the entire duration of the trip. It was really hard to fall asleep dahil sa road conditions, zigzags with repairs and lubak 😂😂😂
✿ We reached Naga at around 8am yata. Had breakfast at the terminal then boarded bus going to Legazpi.
