April 19 to 23, 2022
Boracay has always been one of the places that we visit almost every year. This trip was scheduled since 2020 but due to the pandemic, ilang beses ng nacancel and rescheduled. This year, since di na required and RT-PCR test, here we go…
Day 1
- P2Ps are not yet operational and dahil di namin alam if buses are alteady available, we took Grab from house to Naia terminal 3, fare + toll at about P750.
- Manila to Caticlan via Cebu Pacific, flight departure 6:15 am, a bit delayed by less than 30 minutes, we arrived in Caticlan 45 minutes later.
- Upon arrival at Caticlan airport, wala ng checking of requirements so we headed directly to the tricycles going to the jetty port, fare was P100 per tric, good for 2 persons.
- Jetty port. They checked the QR code, then we paid for the following:
- Environmental Fee: P150
- Terminal Fee: P100
- Boat Fee: P50
- We rode the Southwest bus from the port to Dmall for P25 fare per person.
- Quick breakfast at McDonald’s then bought some stuff at the Budget Mall while waiting for the shuttle going to the resort.
- Movenpick. Superior Room King Sea View. We were there early, so we left our luggages muna then stroll and had pictures at the pool and beach area while waiting for our room. The resort has the biggest pool in Boracay.
- Bob pala asked for a birthday cake kaya nasurprise ako ng slight when I saw it upon entering our room 😂
- Lunch then a little rest.
- They have this chocolate hour every afternoon. Di kasi kami both mahilig sa sweets, so we ate mostly fruits.. then went to the beach and pool area uli to swim and eat and drink 🥂
Day 2
- Buffet breakfast. Bacon, chicken adobo, sausages, ham, breads among others. I liked the lugaw the most with lots of garlic and toppings of your choice, and of course, fruits uli.
- Bob took a dip uli sa pool and beach, while I just stayed sa lounge beds while eating fruits pa din 🙃
- We checked out and on our way to Station 1 around 1pm through the resort’s shuttle.
- Residencia Boracay. The room we originally booked was not available for 3 straight nights so we were supposed to transfer on our 3rd night. Para no need to transfer, they have been very kind and generous to upgrade our entire stay instead from superior to deluxe room. That was before I told them it was my birthday 🎂
- Still full, so we skipped lunch. Just had bread then went to swim muna sa fave spot namin, in front of previously Pearl of the Pacific. The property is now owned by DBP and will be under new owners soon.
- Dinner. Buffet seafood dinner at Sapphire restaurant in Henann Crystal Sands at P1099 per person. Lots of seafood like shrimps, scallops, crabs, squid, mussels… i liked the grilled tuna and squid and syempre fruits na naman. May pa-birthday cake and song din sila ❤️
Day 3
- Buffet breakfast at Residencia
- Crystal kayak. P250 per person, pics up to sawa. Nakikiuso lang 😂
- Sea bike at P400 per 30 minutes. Medyo nakakapagod, sakit sa legs. Wala kasing exercise e hehe!
- Bob bought chicken and veggies for lunch, but surprisingly, di ako gutom so I skipped lunch, just had coffee and wheat bread.
- After resting, we went to station 3 to buy pasalubong. Not so many new choices for ref magnet designs, so we opted to just buy the mask holders para usable din. Hand carry lang din luggage namin so I was hesitant to buy bulky items.
- Swim uli sa beach. I spent most of the time lying under the coconut tree, so relaxing while watching sunset 🌅
- We were supposed to look for buffet dinner uli but nakatulog na ko. Bob went outside yata to look for something to eat na lang…
Day 4
- Bulabog beach. We went there early, first time namin to go there. The beach is also nice and a good alternative place to stay during peak season. Thanks much to kuya na taga-doon who offered to take our pictures 🥰
- Breakfast buffet again at Residencia
- Kayak and Paddle board. P400 good for 30 minutes for the double kayak, free na lang yung paddle board afterwards…
- Late lunch at Two Seasons. Haba ng pila kaya we went back muna to our room, then they called us when it’s our turn na. We had their famous oyster sisig and four cheese pizza. Wala pang 1/4 nakain namin so we took it out na lang for dinner later.
Day 5
- Breakfast buffet uli at Residencia. For a P3500 per night room, having buffet breakfast at station 1 beachfront was so sulit. This is now one of our favorites and we will definitely go back here.
- We checked out at around 9am for our 12pm flight back to Manila. Tric from Residencia to the port was P30 each.
- Cagban port. They checked the QR code again then we paid P100 terminal fee and P50 boat fare per person.
- Tricycle from jetty port to airport was P75 per tric, good for two persons.
- Cebu Pacific flight to Manila is scheduled to depart at 12:20 pm, but delayed due to traffic daw sa Naia. We left around 1:30 pm. They provided free water and snacks naman.
- Grab uli going home, fare + toll was P810.
This trip is our 9th visit to Boracay. We normally go here around September and October, this is just the second time na nagpunta kami dito ng summer season. Almost wala na ang lumot, water was so clear and the weather was so good, scorching hot all throughout our stay. I even doubted the effectiveness of my sunblock dahil sunog pa din ako haha! Di talaga kinaya ang init. Note to self: bring rashguard na talaga kahit bet ko magkaroon ng tan lines 😂
Boracay will always be a favorite 💗
See you again soon…
