October 16 to 21, 2023
Day 1
- Grab from home to NAIA Terminal 2 at P677 plus P49 toll fee
- Manila to Caticlan via PAL. Our flight was originally scheduled to leave at 9:15 AM but we received last minute notice that the flight was cancelled and we were moved to the 3 or 4 PM flight. Had it rebooked to 7:35 AM instead. The plane left around 7:50 AM and still arrived about 20 minutes ahead of schedule.
- Tricycle from Caticlan airport to Jetty port, P150 per tric, good for up to 3 pax
- Environmental fee at P150 per person
- Terminal fee at P150 per person
- Boat fare at P50 each
- Tricycle to DMall at P25 each
- Scandi Club Boracay. Booked thru Agoda. One bedroom condo unit with complete kitchen, sala, and washing machine. Very nice, across DMall, near Bolabog beach, with lots of grocery and sari-sari stores nearby, spacious, with pool. I like that we were able to wash our wet clothes right away, downside was that our room was on the 3rd floor 🧗♂️🤪
- Went to station 1 upon settling our things and onting rest. The weather was so good, so sunny, clear and calm waters.
- We bought liempo pala from Ramboys near the Jetty port. We ate it for lunch, inabot na din ng dinner, plus seafood that we got from the market.
Day 2
- Quick breakfast, then headed again to station 1 to swim.
- Bought shrimps and crabs at the nearby seller at P450 and P650 per kilo respectively, then cooked them in the condo for our lunch and dinner together with adobong pusit and tulingan we got from carinderia along the way.
- Swim uli and sunset viewing in the afternoon. We really love going to Boracay around this month, surprisingly, less tourists this year, nasa Japan yata lahat 😂
- Had a dip in the swimming pool and enjoyed the jet massage 😊
Day 3
- Woke up early and walked around Bolabog beach.
- Checked out by noon and we transferred to Residencia Boracay to stay for the next 3 nights.
- Residencia Boracay. This is our 3rd stay here and easily became one of favorite resorts. Station 1 beachfront, affordable, breakfast buffet already included. Since we are returning guests, we always get discounts 💗. Glad that our room was on the ground floor this time kasi napagod na ko sa pag-akyat ng 3rd floor from our previous stay.
- Slept and went out around 4pm, and spent the rest of the afternoon till sunset swimming…
Day 4
- Swim uli after breakfast. Rest then went out again around 4pm till sunset. My boss and her family were staying at Ambassador, just right next to where we were staying, and we had the chance to see each other. 🥰 🥰
- This day was our anniversary, and we were supposed to eat dinner somewhere. But, I was not feeling well, my throat started to hurt, then got the cough and colds na. So, we just stayed sa room and rested. I have not been eating much din, just fruits ~ grapes, oranges and mangosteen.
Day 5
- Walking tour to Diniwid before breakfast, then swim uli. The water was so nice, so calm and not cold. We really enjoyed swimming during this vacation, kahit sobrang init, buti na lang, we have our shades and caps while swimming, and rashguards na talaga so less nognog 😊
- Still not feeling well, so Bob went ahead na in the afternoon to swim uli. I went out around 5pm and was still able to swim though hanggang gabi kaya siguro lumala ubo ko 🥹
Day 6
- After breakfast, I went out to buy pasalubong, then just stayed sa room to rest until checkout, while Bob went swimming.
- Checked out by 12 noon, then off to Kalibo airport. We chose Kalibo dahil early ang trips from Caticlan to Manila, and we wanted to see Kalibo again and bought sari-saring suman and other pasalubong…
- Tric to Cagban port at P30 each
- Terminal fee at P150 each
- Boat fare at P50 each
- Bus to Kalibo at P157 each
- Tric to Gaisano Mall at P20 each
- Tric to airport at P150
- Grab from T3 to home at P577 + P90 toll fee
This trip is our 11th to Boracay and our 32nd wedding anniversary. We always try to stay at a different resort each time to explore the island. October really is our favorite month to visit, aside it being our anniversary month, water has always been nice and calm, no lumot, and less crowd. This year, we spent most of our time just swimming, and enjoyed taking photos of the sunset almost each afternoon we were there. I am also so proud of our baggage this time, just a backpack and a small duffel bag, improving! 😀
Boracay, see you again soon…
